Jerry Seinfeld, pencil

Saw Jerry's new stand-up show in Vegas in November. Side-splitting silliness on the beautiful banality of modern life's minor and major inconveniences. Well worth the price of admission. Given the comedian's almost manic energy level, it's hard to believe he's 65 years old.

Mr R Monday Special: Heidi Gardner SNL pencil

The positive:  Brownies won another game that we should have yesterday. And a win is a win.

The negative:  it happened because of the Bengals Brown's like red-zone production (i.e., mostly ineffective), a freak pick six by Ward and a couple replay reverses going our way.

The inexplicable:  we have two of the NFL's best backs facing the 32nd (of 32) ranked rushing defense and don't run the ball in the 1st half. We did in the 2nd and, amazingly, won.

A victory in Arizona's desert next Sunday keeps our super-model thin playoff hopes alive. I'm hoping for an 8-8 finish, which would be better than last season. Enjoy your week!

Friday Comic-Book: Captain American and the Falcon #171

Will Browns fans ever recover from last Sunday's "performance"? The pride of lake Erie beaten, nay dominated, by a battered, bandaged Steelers squad led to victory by a 3rd string QB who was released in the pre-season?

Pittsburgh, to their coach's credit, demonstrated what it means to be a football team; Cleveland, led, I guess, by our coach, illustrated, once again, that the Browns are still the Browns until proven otherwise.

It wouldn't be surprising to see some of Cleveland's players quit (at least mentally) during this week's contest against the Bengals. Maybe asking for the team to just be better than last year was too much.

Enjoy your weekend!
